Up the road or down, sometimes further afield, often not for long, we're out most days.
Lucy, I think they must want to peek at 'the other' as much as we do.
It wasn't the usual lightning quick snap, they really seemed to be holding their faces out for a long time! Certainly the bigger fish seem to gaze upward into the other element don't they... but I'm not sure how much we can attribute to them in terms of thoughts and wishes...

Maybe they were looking for low-flying insects...or maybe they were looking for the stars.The idea of fish deliberately poking their heads above water struck my sense of whimsy, and I responded in a silly mood.:)
