Up the road or down, sometimes further afield, often not for long, we're out most days.

Down the road, late afternoon.
A thick, flat drizzle settles into the evening; yellow leaves, the crab apples and marigolds in our garden glow through it only dimly. All we want is wine and supper.

Wasn't it a dreary day? I spent almost all of it cooking, which was at least a cosy occupation.
We have a red cotinus which is especially "glowing" right now, and looks lovely with water droplets on the leaves.
Cooking is nice on such a day, but it steams everything up!
