Up the road or down, sometimes further afield, often not for long, we're out most days.

The old railtrack, Gare de Moncontour, afternoon
The leafy canopy of ivy-covered oaks and beech is still so thick, the day so gloomy, that walking into some stretches of the path is like walking into twilit evening.

We have a passage like that on our road, too. The sun, on those rare occasions when we see it, can never penetrate the gloom.
