Up the road or down, sometimes further afield, often not for long, we're out most days.

Down the road, late afternoon.
The wind has blown whole leafy chestnut branches down onto the road, the pale, spiny-cased, unripe nuts still on them. It is chill, and blows Molly's ears inside out.

Poor Molly! I was counting on an Indian summer, but an ill wind is certainly blowing these days.
