Up the road or down, sometimes further afield, often not for long, we're out most days.

Down the road, afternoon.
Prospecting for elderflowers, we cross a new-mown hay-field. The elderflowers are unpromising, but we enjoy the hay-field: its sweet smell and sliding texture under my feet, Molly leaping and bounding.
My Walking Partner brought homemade elderflower cordial to our all-day "tea" on Friday. I'd like to learn how to make it. I assume this is why you are "prospecting?"
Yes! I shall post about it on BE when it is underway, the best elderflowers I think are to be found at the plan d'eau, where I shall go today.
Thanks for your lovely thoughtful faithful comments on this blog. I'm not sure how long I'll do it, I thought I might try for a year. Often I go out and feel something of an 'oh no' feeling; how can I find anything new to write 30 words about, but I always do, even if it's not earth shattering. I don't always try to be elevated and poetic though, that would be perhaps too much...
I always think that you are POETIC actually -- and if not always elevated, then whimsical or apt.
Perhaps it is because I walk every day; perhaps it is because I seem to derive increasingly "more" out of the natural world these days; but I hugely enjoy this blog format and I hope you will continue with it.
