Cesson beach, afternoon, with Gillian and Barley (Thursday)


The sand is grey and slippery, marbled with watercourses. We paddle about ineptly; I fall over, Gillian cowers at the thunder. We take the cliff path, and get quite wet.

Lovely contrast of blacks and whites in this photograph. Did you see that as you were taking the picture -- or only afterwards?

We often laugh about the dogs looking like a whisky advert! But I hadn't noticed quite how monochrome the background was, there's an almost identical photo over on Gillian's ('Rosie's') blog too!

The girls do make quite a nice matching set...and we both have caught the same moment. It is probably because we usually get to look at the tail end more often as they race ahead looking for trouble, and it is not quite so photogenic...
