I envy you the drama! Hail does seem rather petulant and tantrumish. We just returned from New York, where the sky was that swollen, dense looking grayish-white that brings forth almost continuous snow. When we arrived back in England, yesterday morning, it was similarly gray . . . but seemed so much more lowering, for some reason. (The girls and I agreed on this.)
